Clermont is a town that sits in the southwestern corner of Jefferson County, near the Mississippi River and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The area is known for its rich history, beautiful landscapes, and numerous cultural sites, as well as for being home to the United States’ largest collection of the world’s oldest known watercolor paintings.
The area has been home to many different cultures over the past two thousand years, but I think they all came together and went under the same umbrella under the name of Clermont. I don’t have a specific town name in mind, but I do think of it as a place that’s on the edge of something big and important in the world, and that there’s something going on there that I want to know more about.
Clermont is in the Lake District in northern England, and I think it would be fitting to call the area of the lakes “the edge of something big” because the lakes are the edge of something important in the world. It is a beautiful town, with cobbled streets and quaint shops, and there is a church, a brewery, and a castle that are all the things you can only get in the Lake District.
